A recent survey conducted on behalf of the Oral Cancer Foundation revealed that Americans are often unaware of the leading risk factors of oral cancer. Many understood that the cause of oral cancer is tobacco, but few have any knowledge beyond that. Because April is oral cancer awareness month I, as a dentist in Palatine want to be sure my patients are well informed when it comes to oral cancer. The OCF conducted this survey to establish a baseline for all stakeholders who want to reduce oral cancer.
